Competitive Sport: Girls' World Cup

Yesterday, 10 of our own Lionesses from Y4 and Y5 took part in the Women's World Cup festival which was organised by Rotherham United.

As you can see from our banner and flag, we were Italy.

Throughout the day, our team played teams from around the world until they were knocked out in the quarter finals by England. What a way to go!

All the girls played fantastically - even though some of them had never played in a football team before.

Charlotte and Mia were excellent goalkeepers and saved some tricky shots.

Woman of the Match was Charley who, Miss Worthington tells me, never stopped running and drove our forwards team towards the net in every game.

Well done, girls. We are VERY proud of you.
