This excellent interactive training resource from Childnet International is designed to show parents how children use the internet and give advice to keep them safe. There are lots of videos, guides and information available.

The internet is a fantastic place overflowing with knowledge, games and communities of people, and, just like pupils across the country, the pupils here at Swinton Fitzwilliam Primary School spend a great deal of time using the internet within school and at home. This is why it is important that pupils learn how to be safe when browsing online and becoming members of online communities.

This site offers activities suitable for children in Key Stage 1 and 2. There is also a comprehensive Parents' section with frequently asked questions, videos to watch and a test of your online knowledge.

Internet Matters

This site has useful advice for parents to help keep their children safe online.

Childline E-Safety

This tackles the issues in a more mature way so is suitable for older Key Stage 2 children. The site has information about a range of topics including cyberbullying, social networking, safe surfing and mobile phone safety.

Smart Adventures

Five animations featuring the characters Kara and Winston. Through the cartoons, Kara and Winston talk to the 'Smart Crew' who instruct them on aspects of eSafety including mobile phones and social networking pages. Suitable for Key Stage 1 and younger Key Stage 2 children.

Kidsmart

Kidsmart is an award winning practical internet safety programme website for schools, young people, parents, and agencies, produced by the children's internet charity.

DITTO

DITTO is a free 6-weekly magazine to keep up to date with the latest online safety risks to children, with a view to enjoying technology, safely
